My Story
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research. Following the death of Christine in April, during the 1st lockdown, I have decided to fundraise for Cancer Research UK via sales of my Batik Art. Christine supported me through some extremely difficult times. She was diagnosed with Cancer in February 2020. Very sadly she died in April 2020. COVID-19 has left Cancer Research UK facing one of the biggest challenges in its 108-year history. Research funding has already been cut by millions because of the pandemic, and without vital donations, millions more could be cut over the coming years. Christine herself requested that money went to the charity after her death. Batik is a traditional Indonesian art using wax as a resist; I make lovely colourful scarves, ties, framed pictures and more… .
