I’m raising as much as I can to help fund cancer research
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. During 2016 I have lost three friends and loved ones to cancer, and another five have received a diagnosis. Most of them not much older than me, and some of them younger. Frankly, 2016 has been a bloody awful year for cancer. With this in mind I have decided to kick off the new year by doing something positive and taking part in the Cancer Research Dryathlon! Whilst my days of propping up a bar are well and truly behind me, I don't take much persuading to indulge in the odd glass or three of wine when the opportunity presents itself. And as there are already plenty of these "opportunities" confirmed in the diary for January, this Dryathlon certainly isn't going to be without its challenges. So this is the deal - if you promise to support me, then I promise not to cheat. Mr Fillery will be watching me like a hawk and I will post a weekly progress report on Facebook for anyone who is interested. Thank you for your support. This Dryathlon is dedicated to M, S, J, A, P, D, L & R.
