My Story

Cancer is a word that none of us like to hear but im sure like me a lot of you know someone affected by it. My aunt's, my friend's mum, my best friends sisters my collegues I used to work with have all suffered a type of cancer and have come fighting back. Unfortnetly some people just couldn't fight anymore like my best friend's sister who lost her life to breast cancer. 10 years ago I lost my Gran to breast cancer. She had been fighting with Cancer for years she got the go ahead for radiotherapy but she just couldnt fight off a cold she got so sick the cancer had spread, this was a real shock to us all even though we knew her life was coming to an end how do you even come to terms with it. I didn't really understand how it felt loosing someone so close to me until my Gran passed. She was the only gran parent I had left and who lived with us. Her presence is still missed to this day. The Race for Life Pretty Muddy is something for a bit of fun, laughs and making memories but more importantly it is to raise awareness for a cause that is very close to my heart.
