Cancer is a word that none of us like to hear but im sure like me a lot of you know someone affected by it. My aunt's, my friend's mum, my collegues I used to work with have all suffered a type of cancer and have come fighting back. Unfortnetly some people just couldn't fight anymore like my best friend's sister who lost her life to breast cancer. 7 years ago I lost my Gran to breast cancer. She had been fighting with this for years she got the go ahead for radiotherapy but she just couldnt fight off a cold she got so sick the cancer had spread, this was a real shock to us all even though we knew her life was coming to an end how do you even come to terms with it. I didn't really understand how it felt loosing someone so close to me until my Gran passed. She was the only gran parent I had left and who lived with us. Her presence is still missed to this day. In the past I have completed 5k and 10k runs and this year I am taking part in the shine walk, this is a 26mile walk, yes that is a whole marathon. I have never done anything like this before and i know it is going to be a challenge but I am doing it for an amazing cause to show awareness and bring people together. I know we all know that one person who has or is battling cancer, so even if it is £1 or £10 myself and my wonder warriors would love if you could support us raise some money and make just a little difference.
