Ralston’s Race for Life
Harrogate 10k 2018

For my husband Mark.
For anyone that knows me you will understand that running has never been something I have had the slightest interest in (mainly because I’ve been so rubbish at it) so I’m sure you will all be wondering why the hell I’m running 10k, believe me I keep wondering that too! The honest answer is quite selfish, I want to stop feeling so helpless. Last year my husband Mark was delivered some of the worst news we could’ve ever imagined, he was told that he had Kidney Cancer. One operation later and after an amazingly quick recovery, he was then told the cancer had spread. He has now started treatment and like everything else in his life he is dealing with it head on and taking everything in his stride. The way Mark has handled this has been amazing and he is an inspiration to us all. I want to do this run to show him how proud I am of him and to hopefully raise a bit of money to help others that may find themselves in a similar situation.
