My Story
Cancer is something that effects everyone. Whether that being yourself, your loved one or your friends loved ones. Some of you may know that I don’t walk anywhere (to the shop maybe, but that’s across the road). I’m taking part in this years Race for life for loads of different reason, first one being my family and I have been hugely effected by this horrible disease. We have lost some amazing people, which we all miss very much. Secondly, for my auntie, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and after multiple trips to and from Swindon GWH, she kicked cancers butt! Thirdly, I want to raise money for early diagnosis. This is something I strongly believe in, I do not agree that you have to wait until you are 25 for a smear. I also believe that health care professionals are very overworked and underpaid which results in them missing vital signs. Early detection of cancer greatly increases the chances for successful treatment. This money could help educate to promote early diagnosis and also screening. I have not put a goal because even a penny would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking your time to read this and donating. I hope that in my lifetime we can help to find a cure once and for all.
