This year I've decided to do the great north run for myself. After a tough year last year of losing our business and then very suddenly losing my Dad, its been hard to keep focused and not fall apart. Losing my Dad was incredibly hard for me and I needed to find something to focus on. I have ran for a couple of years but lost my focus when we started to struggle with our family business. A few months after losing my Dad I realized that I needed to start my running again to help me get through this tough time. Running helps me to focus and have a little time to myself to think. I also lost my Mam to cancer when I was 23, so I have decided to raise a little money for the charity whilst I achieve my little goal of completing the great north run.
