My sister and I are taking part in Race for Life in order to raise money to help beat cancer. With our mum being diagnosed over 3 years ago, it’s safe to say we have experienced the highs and lows of the disease. From being given the all clear, to it returning unexpectedly and worse than before, its something that changes your life in ways you never thought it could. With our mum having had yet another major operation, we’re raising this money to help make cancer a thing of the past.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
