Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. My story for taking part is my Granddad after a long battle with cancer he passed away from it. He fought for his battle and was still being active weeks before he passed away. It isn't the only motivation for taking part as I know many people who have passed away or are fighting cancer daily. They have been close family and friends and I still know people who are fighting cancer. This is why I am taking part, Let's beat this awful disease.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
