I'm raising as much as I can for Cancer Research, and for the life-saving results their work can thankfully facilitate.
My Story
Thanks to a wonderful medical team, the work of charities like Cancer Research and amazing grace, my family's experience with cancer last year had a happy ending. I know that this is, tragically, not a universal result. Following my family's good news, I wanted to show my immense gratitude by running to raise money for Cancer Research and support this charity which is working so hard to make happy endings a reality for all. Although not a natural runner, my role model, best friend and reason for running is; and while this small personal challenge pales in comparison with the serious challenges she faced, I hope to commemorate her efforts in this run, and to have fun and raise money for a great cause on 17/03/2019.
CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
