My Story

Update: due to Coronavirus the half marathon has been postponed to 1st November 2020 - on a plus point, more time for training and raising money for Cancer Research!! Yey!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻😁👍🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hi - on 5th April I am taking part in the Reading half marathon. Please support me in my efforts to fundraise for Cancer Research UK with a donation to my Giving Page. Cancer Research UK are the only charity fighting over 200 types of cancer and receive no government funding for their life-saving research. Over the last couple of years a number of people close to me have been diagnosed, have successfully completed treatment or are in the process of receiving treatment for this indiscriminate disease. Prostate, bladder and breast cancer - all need more research to identify ways to prevent people getting the disease and in the meantime to improve the treatment to minimise the impact on lives. Every step taken towards beating cancer relies on every pound donated so please give generously!!! Please make my training in the cold and wet for the last couple of months worth it!!! 👌🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️😀
