My Story
The word 'Cancer' has such a stigma attached to it. I am taking part because I believe one day, due to research the word 'Cancer' will no longer frighten us, make us worry or bring us down. My family have been/ and are affected by Cancer, this is for them. They are the strongest people I know, who face everything head on and with a smile. Thanks to research and money raised to help towards new treatment, drugs and tests my mum is still with us nearly 20 years on from when she was diagnosed. I am also taking part for Mike, my sisters father in law. He is an amazing, kind man and hasn't let his diagnosis take over his life or change it in anyway. Please sponsor me however little, it all adds up, the money raised will help you, I and everyone!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
