I'm taking part in the race for life this July with my mam. We will probably be walking through the whole course but we wanted to do something to raise money for cancer research. I know first hand what it's like to see some suffer because of this awful disease. We sadly lost my father in law in 2016 due to cancer and my dad has been battling throat cancer since sept 2016 (thankfully he's on he mend now) My dad has fought his throat cancer with so much strength and determination. Makes me proud to be able to call him dad. Hopefully once day they will find a cure for cancer! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
