Rachel takes on the month-long exercise challenge
Mon 1 Jul 2019
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’'ll be exercising every day of the month to raise money for life-saving cancer research. Please show your support and help join the fight against cancer by sponsoring me. Together we will beat cancer. My Story why! Cancer for me was always a subject of a TV AD, a character in a film dealing with it or your mums friend, friend knows somebody who has it. It was never someone you knew, never someone in your close knit family. That was until my uncle was diagnosed and had an operation, my Aunty was diagnosed with breast cancer. My grandmother was diagnosed with cancer during their treatments it was hard for them and us looking on and amazing when they came through. But following on from them receiving the all clear maybe not so much for the survivors but for us looking in everything went back to normal. A few years passed and that thing called cancer was back again and a member of my family was diagnosed and he sadly passed away this was a wake up call. Today two more of my family members are currently receiving treatment for the dreaded C word and it clearly shows me that cancer is not something that happens to other people, it’s not something just on tv, or something from the past it’s real, it’s here and alone there is nothing we can do but together we can help fund the research so those affected also come through and become survivors. If you’ve made it to the end of my story thank you for reading and please please sponsor me in my challenge and help the research go further 💪🏾 You can also show me your support by following my insta page @sponserracheltoday
