Rachel takes on Sweatember
This September, I’m taking on Sweatember, exercising every day of the month to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured by sponsoring me. As many of you know my wonderful Dad died November 2015 of Stomach Cancer. In November 2018 I was diagnosed with Stage three Ovarian Cancer. I started chemo two weeks later and finished in May this year. In March I had a major operation which was a full hysterectomy, part of my pelvis and stomach lining removed and my Spleen was removed. I don’t know what the future holds but right now I am in remission! This is all down to the treatment I received and continue to receive with a preventative drug. The treatments for Cancer are changing all the time through research and more lives are being saved everyday. I have been given a second chance at life and I’m going to make the most of everyday. I want to do this challenge, not only to give something back but build my strength back up so I am asking for your help to raise more money for this amazing charity. ❤️
