My Story
Cancer is happening right now! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. As many of you will already know I lost my husband Chris to cancer in June last year. It was a complete shock when he got diagnosed and it completely crushed me when he passed away. With Chris’ type of cancer there was no cure for him. I would love to be able to say I’ve helped raise money for there to be a cure for cancer so no other family goes through what mine has. I am not just doing this race for Chris, I am doing this race with my best friend Beth who has lost her grandad and most recently her aunty from the terrible disease. If anyone can please donate I will forever be grateful.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
