To get fitter and say F U to cancer!

In memory of

Nanny Nora

My Story

In 2004, my lovely 82 year old Nan passed away after battling Pancreatic Cancer. I was only 11 at the time, about to start secondary school but was very aware of, and still remember clearly how frail (and yellow) this horrid disease left my Nan before it took her away from us. Since then, an Aunty and Uncle of mine have both been diagnosed and then beaten the big C - a nice big F U to it I think! In 2014 I ran/mostly dragged myself around Race for Life in memory of ten years since my Nan passed away. This year my friend Zoe asked if I’d join her in Racing for Life and I thought why the hell not?! Our registration fee and any money you donate to our pages will help towards more people beating this little shit and Zo and I are hoping to lose our bellies at the same time too! In January we started walking in the dark on a Wednesday night - by 1st July we want to run this 5K in 30 minutes. We’d love it if you donated to support us and Cancer Research!

CAUSE

All Cancer Types

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
