My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I'm one of those people, and so was my Dad. Thousands of people are cured of cancer every year thanks to the amazing research that is dedicated to studying different types of cancer, understanding the differences and targeting treatments accordingly. We've come so far, but there is still so much to do and so many lives to save. I have Secondary Breast Cancer which means the cancer has spread beyond the breast into my bones, and at that point it becomes incurable. I hope to be able to live with this for as long as possible, but my only real hope is for research to find a cure. But being able to access cutting edge treatments means that my prognosis is so much better than it would have been 5 or 10 years ago. Cancer doesn't discriminate and it doesn't care what you do or in many cases how you live your life - help to make everyone's prognosis better by donating to help fund this vital research. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
