My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. My story: Never have i been a runner or even very good at exercise for that matter, i wanted to find something to motivate my fitness and improve my mental health. What better way than to raise some money for this incredible charity. People who know me will know that this is a huge task for me. As someone who has had loved ones taken from me due to cancer and also client's of mine undergoing treatment i have seen how important cancer research can be. I am currently doing the couch to 5k app to enable myself to run the full 5k race for life in memory of my Grandad Norman Ryley. My Grandad was incredibly strong and brave both in his life and through his battle with cancer. He would have done anything to help anyone and as a fireman he always gave back to others. This is my way of honoring him and giving back to people who are and will battle cancer in the hope of one day finding a cure. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
