My Story
IN MEMORY OF RICHARD “QUIN” HAWTIN Quin was the nickname of Richard Hawtin at City Livery Club Golf because he wore harle(quin) design trousers. He was unmistakeable on the golf course. In the words of the pop song “You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quin”. Quin had a wonderful sense of humour and was teased unmercifully about the trousers. He was unapologetic to the last. Quin was a wonderful human being and also a first-class Secretary of City Livery Club Golf and a Liveryman of the Coopers’ Company. We lost Quin to oesophageal cancer last November and, in his memory, City Livery Club Golf, Haywards Heath Golf Club (his long time golf club) and the Coopers’ Company have come together to celebrate Quin and to raise some money for the cause of cancer relief. Please donate generously. The suppliers of the trousers are even supporting our fundraising effort.
