in 2015, we hosted our first ever race for life at QEGS. Due to the success of the event, the race became a permanent fixture on our summer calendar and we have managed to raise over £12,000 thanks to the support of staff, students and above all their parents and the local community who have given more and more generously each year. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
