My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Many of my friends will be aware but on New Year’s Eve I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was detected on my routine screening mammogram so please make your appointment when it’s due and attend, They are so important, I will make a full recovery but without my mammogram this could be a very different story. I have had surgery and have completed my radiotherapy. Thanks to clinical trials and research my radiotherapy is only 5 days rather than 3 weeks. I will also be taking hormone therapy for the next 5 years. This year in September I’m cycling LEJOG (Lands End to John O’Groats) for Cancer Research UK. Their research is vital in progressing cancer treatment. I’m asking you to sponsor me please to carry on this vital work.
