My Story
In July 2016 cancer took Poppy and Noah's Grandpa. Telling your children that Grandpa is poorly and there is nothing doctors can do to make him better and that he is going to die was the hardest thing I've had to say to them. Knowing they won't be visiting farms with him anymore, digging for potatoes together or laughing calling him 'fat man' and not seeing them grow up still hurts. However, Poppy and Noah keep him alive and talk about their Grandpa all the time, whether it's talking to the bees, singing about bluebells or asking to go to the fairy garden at the cemetery. They loved him so much and he adored his grandchildren - he'd never admit it, but he became a softy when he became a Grandpa! Cancer is happening right now, which is why Poppy and Noah are taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives, to hopefully prevent other families from losing their loved ones. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime-a scary statistic- so any donations to help the amazing work Cancer Research does would be greatly appreciated! Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
