As you may know, the statistics for cancer suggest that it will now affect the lives of 1 in 2 people. In the past couple of years I have personally been affected by the tragedy of losing 3 close family members to this disease. I have also seen the tremendous benefit that the research into cancer can make with my mother in law now being free for 4 years and counting. I have decided to walk the Shine Midnight Marathon, hoping to complete the grueling 26 miles in 9-10 hours to raise money to allow Cancer Research to continue their amazing work to fight this deadly disease. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.
