My Story
As you know I’m not a runner (or really a walker!) Last year I did the Race for Life 5k to help raise money to beat cancer sooner. Since then I totally stopped running, started working at Cancer Research UK and signed my self up to take on a 10K. Since starting at CRUK I’ve seen the amazing progress that research has made in the prevention, treatment and diagnosis of cancer. CRUK are funding ground breaking research projects that are really making a difference in our fight against cancer. And people are benefiting from this research everyday. I can now say that I believe there might well be a day we will beat this disease. I’m now taking on 10K to raise money to help make that day sooner. I’m also doing it to try and take on something I never thought I’d be able to do! It’ll be a challenge, but nothing like what people go through during a cancer experience. My mum’ll be up there saying ‘what the hell is she doing?!’ But she’ll also be in my heart and thoughts pushing me on to the finish line. Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
