My Story
Cancer affects 1 in 2 people. I decided to run the Great North Run in aid of cancer research, unfortunately the run did not happen due to covid and it’s with a heavy heart that family members I was running in aid of have passed away since. So, I have decided to carry my place over and run in memory of them. Cancer doesn’t just take lives, it ruins the lives of the people it leaves behind. My hope is that one day we may be able to be treated against all forms of cancer and even better than that would be prevention of it. If you can, I would be greatly appreciative of any donations as I run this half marathon in memory of the family members/friends I have lost to this short I left disease and also to friends/family who are still fighting the fight. I know it’s harder than ever to donate but any amount at all would be fantastic. Thanks, Pierce
