Shine Night Walk Cambridge 10k 2022
Sat 15 Oct 2022 - Sat 15 Oct 2022
I will be doing the Shine Night Walk with my daughter’s Ailish and Roisin, plus a group of my lovely haematology-oncology work friends. I have worked within the specialist cancer field for over 36years, and have seen so many improvements in the field of cancer diagnosis, cancer treatments, and survival rates. Early detection of cancers are so important, and further research is necessary. Following my own diagnosis of breast cancer last year, which was nearly missed, I would like to urge everyone who is concerned, or worried about their symptoms or any suspicious lump, to see their GP for assessment and to persevere if concerned. I have had my surgery and treatment, I am taking a pill a day, and back working full time. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Donate to my Giving Page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
