Phil's Thames Path 100km Challenge

As some of you may know, my mum has been suffering from a rare cancer for many years. She has received incredible treatment to manage the condition and fortunately she still remains healthy enough to spend lots of time with her little grandson Finn. Cancer is something that has deeply affected my family with both my mum and my aunt suffering in recent years and I couldn't think of a better tribute to them than to undertake this run for such an amazing cause, to contribute in my own way to the fight to curing all cancer. For anyone that has followed my running in recent years, I was fairly late to take to running, really only starting out in 2017 and was someone who stated how boring it was! I have since run 2 ultras and completed a few in training as well. I made a late decision to sign up to this ultra following on the back of my partner taking part in an ultra following the birth of our son. To be frank I have barely run more than an average of 15km a week over the past 18 months and have left myself around 12 weeks to train for this, so it will be a huge challenge. I am also signed up to run London for the first time just about 4 weeks after. As such any donations to me will be a huge motivation to push through my training and the kms on the day!
