My Story
Raising money in memory of my wife Miranda Lewis-Saunders. Miranda loved participating in the 2019 Llanelli race for life with her family and friends. We had planned to participate in 2020 but sadly COVID-19 got in the way. Whilst Miranda survived breast cancer in 2018 and again in 2020 she sadly died peacefully in November 2022, aged just 49. Miranda had a zest for life and an incredibly generous heart. She asked us to join together again and run, jog or walk in her memory and raise much needed funds to ensure essential research can continue. Thank you for joining “Miranda’s Army” on the 11th June and/or donating what you can to help a cause that will forever be in our hearts. One in two of us will suffer with cancer at some point in our lives. With research hopefully a cure can be found.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
