My Story
I have decided to run the Race for Life this year, following my Mum having breast cancer and BEATING it!! It is only through the amazing work that is going on in the field of cancer research, that meant that Mum was able to do this and we took it all totally for granted, until you are actually impacted by it. So we are doing our bit and would really appreciate your support in raising as much as we can to help continue the great work that this organisation is doing! Thank you very much and wish us all luck, as none of us natural born runners... which is why we have given us the summer to get in shape. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
