118m cycle ride & open water swim
Tue 30 Apr 2019 - Fri 14 Jun 2019
Following a good friend's recent cancer scare, Phil Smalley decided he needed to raise money and funds for the dreaded C word, from this The Falcon Challenge began... Initially, Phil was going to swim 1 mile across Lake Windermere, part of The John West Great North Swim in June. Now, him and his friend Gary Stewart will not only complete the swim, but will cycle the 118 miles from Withernwick to Brockhole, Lake Windermere over 2 days. They will then complete their 1 mile open water swim across Lake Windermere. The pair have been training extremely hard and their progress can be followed on The Falcon, Withernwick facepook page (@FalconInnWithernwick). You can help the brave pair raise the money by donating online or at The Falcon or through Phil, Gary, Claire Cousins or Tracey Taylor.
