My Story
Sadly, like so many of us, I have lost too many people to cancer. In recent years, we lost my Uncle Andrew far too soon. These things always make us reflect on our own lives and how we are living them. This is not something that just happens. We can take action and fight back. Therefore, I've decided to do the Great Manchester Run 10K in Andy's memory. I despise running but I'm determined to complete this. Doing the right thing isn't always easy but I'm hoping by doing something I hate I can help stop other going through real pain. The money will go towards research aimed specifically at the type of cancer Andy had. Hopefully, so one day, nobody has to go through what Andy's family has.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
