My Story
I have done the Dryathlon for the last 4 years. The first time it was easier to do as most of my friends couldn't drink. This time, like the last two times I took part in the Dryathlon I will be in university where quite a lot of socialising and meeting up with friends revolves around alcohol and drinking, sometimes in excess but for a good cause I will give my liver a break and put the money I would normally drink into a charity pot in the hope that others will do the same and sponsor me to stay off the booze. Please help me by donating, you might not think this is a big deal but even if my teetotal month helps at all giving up alcohol will have been 100% worth it. Please help out. I am trying to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I am sure that people you know may have been affected by this horrible disease. For me, its my Auntie Winnie, who sadly passed away in October 2016 and will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have met her in life. Other people for me include a great neighbour, an Uncle and other fabulous people I have been lucky enough to meet and some I wasn't fortunate enough to meet. I want to make a difference and this is one way I can think of. Please help me help others by donating and together we can stop cancer and help more people survive to see tomorrow. 3 years ago I raised about £80, 2 years ago I raised £155, last year I raised £209, please help me beat it and beat cancer sooner. Thanks for visiting my JustGiving. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Please dig deep and donate now..
