Channel Swim
I have come in to contact with too many people affected and I want to help by raising money to help with the research.
My Story
On Wednesday 25th July I swam The English Channel in 13 hours and 58 minutes. The weather was wonderful. But still the physical and mental battle of this trip are challenging. Jellyfish stings, seaweed, cold water, seeing France with 5 hours still to go and the dark all contribute to the challenge. The mind plays games, self doubt creeps in. Self motivation is required. Barriers were broken down in the challenge with the ultimate goal being achieved touching French sand and standing at 11pm on a French beach. I want to dedicate my effort to a cause very close to my heart. I know too many who have been affected including friends, family and colleagues. My wife beat breast cancer, but I know many who have not been so lucky. This is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
