My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in the Salisbury Race for Life 5k on Sunday 7th June 2020 to raise money and save lives. In 2018 I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and, following treatment at Salisbury and Southampton hospitals by fantastic and dedicated staff, I am now in remission. I was fortunate to have benefitted from previous years of research into nHL and I want to raise funds for CRUK so others can have a better chance of beating cancer. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. I developed a hatred of running back in my school days and this will be the first time back in running shoes for well over 50 years. Whilst 5k may not seem very much I would appreciate all the support you can give me to succeed in this challenge
