In memory of
Family members - my Dad, Lorraine my ex-wife, my Uncles Don and Walter, my cousin's partner John.
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Like us all, over my lifetime I have witnessed the suffering and losing of so many close family members and friends to cancers. Since my retirement I have been able to maintain a good level of health and fitness. So much so that I have taken up serious walking in that time - particularly climbing peaks and tackling the South West Coast Path closeby where we live. Communicating with so much of nature in the raw in this way has not only made a great contribution to our mental wellbeing - it has also been a continued joy, in a wide range of varied weather conditions! I have now decided that all my efforts (and indeed ours, as my partner Helen joins me on all the walks now) will be dedicated to raising money for meaningful causes close to our hearts. So the challenge this autumn 2022, for Helen and I, is we will be tackling our “unconquered” sections of the South West Coast Path between Hartland and Lands End. These total around 75 miles – and we will be endeavouring to walk these sections before my 75th birthday at the end of November.
