Cancer has affected my family and many friends over the years and I decided now would be a good time to raise some money for Cancer Research UK. My first thought was considered a bad idea as apparently people probably wouldn’t donate for me to do a charity pub crawl 😊 Anyway, at 50 years old and never having run before, I decided a 10K might be challenging enough to get people to put their hands in their pockets and donate to this worthy cause. So please back up my theory and get giving! (and please don't forget to tick the Gift Aid) Ps –the pub crawl will go ahead post-race assuming I make it to the end in one peice but is not considered part of the challenge 😉

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
