Penny's Race for Life in memory of my wonderful brother-in-law Richard Finch aged 43
Portsmouth 5k 2019
Sun 7 Jul 2019 - Sun 7 Jul 2019
In memory of
Richard Finch who passed on 22nd May with pancreatic cancer - diagnosed only 4 weeks before
My brother-in-law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just after he and my sister had their first wedding anniversary - he passed away just 4 weeks after being diagnosed. Pancreatic cancer is very aggressive and cruel and we are all still in disbelief. I'm crazy unfit and haven't run for years and have put on weight since my last RFL. There's not a lot of time before the race, but I need to do something positive and in memory of Rich which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. My sister-in-law is also having her own fight at the moment with great cancer, so this race will help cancer to go and do one!!! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now with any little you can afford xxx
