I'm taking part in Race for Life 2021 in the hope of making more awareness and in memory of my beautiful mum who sadly lost her 2 week battle to Pancreatic Cancer.
In memory of
My beautiful mum who sadly passed away in 2015 after a 2 week battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
My Story
This is something very close to my heart. After loosing mum to her short battle with cancer, it shows how much more research is needed. Mum fell ill and within 2 weeks of mums diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer, it was too late as the tumours had become too big. As a result, the cancer had spread to her vital organs, making it impossible to do anything. As a family, we was told nearly 2 weeks after diagnosis mum had 24-48 hours to live. Within 24hours of hearing this mum sadly passed away. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. Mum passed away at the young age of 47. That’s too young for someone to have no fight or chance of survival. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Any donations in these strange and very tough times will be so appreciated.
