Let cancer run backwards while we move forward - Petition to raise funds for cancer research in the UK
O cancro é uma doença que só no ano passado afectou 17 milhões de pessoas mundialmente, das quais 9.6 milhões não sobreviveram. O cancro é a segunda causa de morte mais frequente em todo o mundo. De modo a sensibilizar outros para este problema e angariar fundos para ajudar a investigação científica que permitirá erradicar esta doença no futuro, irei participar na meia-maratona de Cambridge, no dia 08 de Março de 2020, sob a bandeira da organização "Cancer Research Uk". Cancer is a disease which has affected 17 million people worldwide in the last year alone, 9.6 of which didn't survive. Cancer is the second most common cause of death worldwide. As a way to sensitize other people to this problem and raise funds to help scientific research eradicate this disease in the future, i will be running the Cambridge half-marathon on the 8th of March, 2020, under the banner of "Cancer Research UK". Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
