I'm taking part in Race for Life because I know every kilometre is a step towards beating Cancer.
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I'm doing it for all the family and friends who have beat cancer, the children who get the ring the bell and for those who sadly lost their lives to cancer who are not forgotten as the memories live on. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
