My Story
I have decided to run this race to help raise awareness of this horrible illness. As of Jan 2018 i have been out of remission, which was a huge relief to me and to my family, it took 10 years to get to that day. Having being diagnosed with testicular cancer i was almost at the end of 5 year remission, i was going for my second to last appointment only to find a lump again a week beforehand. I went straight to my consultant who confirmed that it had come back again - did you know there was a less than 1% chance of this happening!! The consultants and nurses were amazing and i had a strong family around me to help me get through it again. I hit rock bottom but managed (with help) to pull myself through and come out the other side. I feel so lucky to have beaten this awful disease - now i want to help those going through the same thing.
