Paul's Race for Life

At the end of October 2017, my life perspective changed forever....I was diagnosed with Tonsil cancer which had also spread to other areas of my mouth. January 2018, I started daily sessions of Radiotherapy for 7 weeks, plus 3 x 10hr sessions of Chemotherapy. In June 2018 I was given the all clear, the story should end there...unfortunately in December 2018 I was told the cancer was back, this time in the Lymph glands/nodes in my neck. Surgery was the only option so it was back to hospital again for the operation to take place & all the glands/nodes to be removed. In the last week I have been given the all clear again. I'm doing the Race for Life to show this disease can be beaten, & with events like this supporting the work of Cancer Research UK, there can be more success stories like my own. Cancer is happening right now, so on the 14th July 2019, I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k at Haydock Park to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
