I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner. Over the last 9 weeks I have completed the App "Couch to 5K" and now I'm ready to put all my hard work and training into practice

My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. We all know at least somebody close to us that has been affected by this horrible and destructive disease. Both my parents battled through cancer, but unfortunately my wonderful mum (see above) lost her battle coming up to 13years ago. The breakthrough in treatment and care has come on leaps and bounds since then, but until there is a cure for all cancers I will continue to try and make a difference! I have also recently been treated for Skin Cancer and have been given the all clear now and was amazed by the fantastic treatment and care provided by our wonderful NHS. I am also running this race for my dear friend Liz who has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and as positive as she is that she will defeat this, I'm also positive that one day we will all help to defeat cancer!! These people close to me and all those wonderful people that have touched you have helped to inspire me to help continue in our very clever people find a cure to finally irradiate all cancers.
