Paul's Cycle 300 Giving Page

Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. Please take a moment to read this story. This September, before the end of the month, I will complete 300+ miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedalling harder than ever because I want to raise much needed money for research for life-saving treatments. I have experienced first hand like most familys how all types of Cancers can effect our life. From my early teens with my mother having Cancer treatment in 1973/74 made a full recovery, then 1977 my Grandmother passed away from lung Cancer in Barbados the next time cancer had a impact in my life was in the 1980s when sadly my Uncle Peter passed away from Cancer. In 1995 my Mother in law had treatment for breast Cancer and made a full recovery, but in 2006 sadly my Father in law was diagnosed with lung Cancer sadly treatment had no effect and he passed away in July 2006 and in August 2006 my Father was diagnosed with kidney Cancer he had treatment but in 7 months he lost his battle and passed away in 2007. In 2013 sadly my Mother in law was diagnosed with stomach Cancer sadly passed away 2 months later. In 2017 I was diagnosed with Cancer in my tonsils I had an operation to take my tonsils out along with the tumour, followed by six weeks of radiotherapy treatment everything went well and I'm in my 4 year of remission.Sadly in 2021 my Auntie Gloria who lived in America passed away from Cancer, most of the deaths in my family has been from Cancer we must sponsor this worthy Charity to change the outlook for Cancer patients and change statistics. This is not just about raising much needed money for cancer but making awareness about all types of Cancers so please sponsor me and share to help fund Cancer Research which has been badly affected by Government funding because off covd-19.
