Paul's Cycle 300 Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. This September, before the end of the month, I will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedalling harder than ever because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. This scourge of humankind touches everyone sometime, and always gets too close to home, by donating, it helps keep this awful illness from knocking on our doors! Thank you all so much for donating i am overwhelmed with your kindness so will divulge why i am inspired to do this. This horrible illness has come to close to me over the last few years a number of my dear friends have suffered this horrible illness and their bravery has been inspiring! However in the last 12 months i have lost 2 brother-in-laws, a very dear friend who went to live the dream in Portugal and was taken too early! My dear close friend also being diagnosed, and then the worse thing i could imagine! My own dear beautiful daughter Laura at 32 was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer of the appendix and bowel which knocked us for 6 and a reality of how families suffer. During the awful last few months we have seen Cancer disappear from the headlines a bit. However we know it will always be there touching nearly everyone in some way! Eventually it will be beaten but until then we must keep fighting it. Hopefully this is the start for me to do more, sore bum for starters!
