My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. 12 years ago my daughter Amber and myself walked race for life in memory of my Grandparents who both died from bowel cancer within nine months of each other. Last year myself and my husband had tests and biopsies for cancer. Luckily we were both ok. My husband needs annual checks and is on medication for the rest of his life. He has his test this month then we wait to see if medication is helping and if more tests will be needed as growth is currently benign. I’m still struggling and having tests. My children’s father is currently having tests under the two week rule. We are waiting for his biopsy results and he has more tests and biopsies to follow. All three of us have so much to live for especially our much loved Grandson Harley and our children. They all bring so much joy. We are all scared of leaving our family behind. Please donate to help research and we have all had to wait longer than the two week rule due to NHS cutbacks.
