Paul Walks All Over Cancer - August 2020

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. In March 2019 and March 2020 I took part in (and completed) this event; walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. Yes you read that right, I completed it!!! TWICE – that said, the second attempt ended slightly differently as it was just as COVID-19 started to change the world which leads me to this plea….. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many things across the world, including the impact directly on friends and family’s health, mind and well-being but for Cancer Research the clinical trials have been postponed and fundraising has fallen so much of this vital research has been put on hold. With this in mind, the window to take this challenge of Walk All Over Cancer has been opened to other months during the year rather than the usual March. As the BIG C hits us all in life whether it be; close family or ‘football’ family, friends or even colleagues. In recent times I’ve lost some very special people in my life so I want to try and give something back. So again, this August, I’m getting my portly body off the sofa and back into the fresh air to walk 10,000 steps a day.
