My Story
Cancer Research UK is the world's largest independent cancer research organisation and has helped to double survival rates over the course of my lifetime. However, having lost three grandparents and one parent to cancer, I'm keen to improve the odds further and help fund this ground-breaking work to spare more families from heartache. I didn't initially seek sponsorship for my upcoming 100-mile event as I arrogantly thought it would be a breeze for someone who rides most days, and completed the 60-mile edition of this event in 2023. But, as I've embarked on my training in the last few weeks, racking-up 300 miles and over 20 hours in the saddle, I've discovered that this will indeed be a challenge... I'll need to push about twice as far during the event as I've done on any of my training days, and expect to ride a further 25 miles on the day in order to reach the event and get back home again. I'm a metric man, so that equates to 200km on the day, and I'm aiming to raise £1 per km. Please donate today to help me hit this target and fund a charity that's never far from my mind.
