Paul Kelly - 1,000 miles in 24 hrs for cancer
Mon 21 Jun 2021
In memory of
Colin, Claire, Clive, Keo and other close friends and relatives who have suffered from cancer
I broke my leg quite badly this year. There’s an x-ray below. I’m still in rehab and what better target to get fit for than a return to the Longest Day Up! It’s a motorbike challenge to travel 1,000 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats on the longest day of the year between sunrise and sunset. The route excludes motorways and bikes must have been bought for no more than £300. I bought a 1990’s Yamaha 600 which was being sold for scrap and this is our third year doing the challenge. £3,775 raised so far and only one break down!
